The Horry County Reads: Ron Rash
Ron Rash is our community read program similar to the American Library Association and the National Endowment of the Arts' Big Read program that was started in 2006 to combat the decline of literary reading in America. The Horry County Reads: Ron Rash will allow the entire county to read a single author they might not normally read; participate in events related to Mr. Rash and to showcase the importance of the library's presence in the community. Ron Rash was chosen for his diverse collection of writings and the popularity of his novels.

Horry County Library reads and feeds the children of Horry County
October 1st-November 30th, Horry County Libraries will be hosting a food drive for BackPack Buddies of Horry County.
